I was recently going through the piles of leather at my leather supplier here in North Carolina, USA when I came across this beefy, aged hide. I was told these hides were made years ago and the tannery went out of business. With only a couple of dozen hides left, the supply is very limited. Each satchel takes almost an entire hide to make and about six hours of pounding and cutting. A hand-made piece this sturdy not only requires hand-stitching but over 30 copper rivets that make this bag to last several lifetimes. Four heavy-duty buckles finish the last bag you will ever own. Approximate size 17 x 12 x 8.
