This stoneware plate was hand made with a slab of stoneware clay molded over top of a carved piece of plaster. Once the form was leather heard the plate was turned up right and trimmed to be smooth.
Once bisque fired, under glaze was used to make many dots to fill in the shape of a bird on branches with leaves and a nest with eggs. The outer rim was decorated with a simple trim of blue. Clear glaze was then used to cover the plate.
