Omega is one of my best designs. Made entirely of wood, the body is turned from mahogany plywood (which I make by gluing up individual layers of veneer), the hinges, latch and feet are ebony, and the trays are curly maple. The box has two vertical doors that open to reveal 12 interior trays. Four full-width trays are attached to the back wall and four are attached to each door. Each of the trays is removable, with a curved tenon in back that fits into a slot in the wall or door. The inside bottom of each is lined with black velvet. The trays mesh together when the doors are closed.
There is a third door mounted horizontally across the top of the body, which opens to reveal a small compartment.
Omega IV would work great as a jewelry box or for housing that special collection. The price is $5000.
Dimensions: 19"H x 18"W x 8.5" D. Expands to 36"W when both doors are open.
