On Sale Football Tobacco Card Thomas Trenchard Mayo Cut Plug 1894

In 1894, Mayo tobacco company introduced a series of 35 different Ivy League college football players from Yale, Princeton, and Harvard. This was the first football series produced. The cards include sepia-toned photographs of players on cardboard stock with black borders and black backs. Cards from this series rarely find themselves in the marketplace. They are super scarce.
This card is one if the hardest cards to find in the set and would make a rare and unique gift.
