Open Cube Iii
This piece is 9"x9"x9" made from ¼" Baltic Birch plywood. There are nine open octahedron in a cubic arrangement of eight around one. There are three different positions and a number of orientations in each position so that it can be displayed in a number of ways that will change how it is viewed. The design and production of this object has nothing to do with current technological development, it is all hand produced and the design is a variation that comes from exploring the geometry of the cube pattern using octahedral units.It has a natural oil finish.
