When I saw this piece of Wild Cherry Wood, I was moved to create the drawer/box on top utilizing the same material, allowing it to "grow" out of its base.

Though a smaller box, it features mortise and tenon work, dowels, and hand-cut dovetails for the stand and box. A delight to touch and work with.
