Original Celtic Horses Leather Table In-Lay

The Goddess Epona is said to have her start in Gaul and spread to the lands of Bulgaria. In Ireland, she was paired with the stag horned God Cernunnos "the mare and Stag" were potent fertility symbols.

This leather art is my original work, and was created and inspired by a story written for my daughter. The story soon blossomed into a much larger piece of work and now incorporates a celtic mythos full of myths and legends from ancient Ireland. In the story, this is the symbol of the Rhiani, a horse people living on the Plains of Rhia.

I have created this as a custom table inlay. The over all dimensions are 11" x 14" I have mixed mediums here, using acrylics and dyes to achieve the antique look. I have also "wrapped" the sword hilt with leather lace, and crowned the pommel with a hand-carved antler piece.

I can create your vision in leather and incorporate into a functional piece of furniture.

Dimensions: 11x14 or custom.
