This is an original oil painting titled "Rural Happy Hour". It is painted on an 18 x 24 inch canvas and is framed in a black frame with a rubbed dark brown finish in some areas. Overall dimensions are approximately 22 x 30. From afar, the frame looks completely black. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity which has been signed and dated by me.
This is a painting of cows that live near my house, set in a slightly modified rural scene. I have another painting of these cows in my kitchen. This painting started as an attempt at a basic landscape painting, but it wasn't complete without some animals in it, and I think they become the focal point - it's now a "cowscape".
As with all of my work, 10% of the sales price is donated to animal rescue groups and charities. For this painting, the donation will go to Sanctuary One, where I am also a volunteer.
