Original Oil Owl Painting - Owl Art on Canvas - Award Winning Wildlife Art - Big Eye Art -10% Benefits Animal Charities
This is an original oil owl painting (6 x 12 inches) on a gallery wrapped 1.5 inch profile canvas. The edges are painted black so no framing is required. This original owl art was inspired by an owl photograph from a creative friend; the eyes were so piercing, I had to crop it in and paint just the face, focusing on his big eyes. It is titled "Got Mice?", which I thought was pretty funny when it was recently featured at a show in a local restaurant, where it was sitting on a tall hutch looking down at the floor. They had no mice of course, but I loved that it was high up on a perch! This painting also comes with a certificate of authenticity signed and dated by me tucked in the back.
This painting was awarded second place in the Oils/Acrylics category at the Irving Arts Association Wildlife Competition, 2012. It was also designated as a meritorious entry in the Richeson 75 Animals, Birds and Wildlife Show 2012, and is included in the show catalog.
Ten percent of sales from this original painting and prints will be donated to Sanctuary One, a domesticated animal rescue and care farm in Jacksonville, OR, where I volunteer.
