Ostrich Skin Ottoman

I made this Ottoman for a friend who wanted "something a little different" to round out a refurbishment of her living room. She had 3 main design parameters. Purple, oval, and a button on top. I think we hit the mark on all counts and the beautiful supple ostrich was a huge bonus. The feet, although hardly seen, are turned hard maple half spheres.

Materials: Poplar, Bending Ply, Maple, Leather
Finish: Clear Lacquer (on the feet)
