I designed this set for a client who has a diamond shaped deck that overhangs lake Michigan. They needed a table that would fit in the point of the diamond while seating 6-8. I was in Oslo when I was designing this piece overlooking the fjord watching sail boats meander about and became inspired. Each panel of the top is the shape of a different kind of sail. A nautical theme seemed to be fitting considering where the set would reside. The chairs are a take on the klismo chair just modernized. The top is easily removed and the base breaks down in order to store for winter. I am in the midst of creating a new collection of pieces that are inspired by this set.
