His "artwork" has a mesmerizing quality to it, when I look at it, it draws me towards the various components within the piece.
Even though it is an "abstract" piece of work, all the different shapes and colors blend into one in a beautiful manner.
I have made a number of paintings from colored-pencil drawings executed while hiking in the mountains or the desert. These paintings are created in oil paint on stretched linen. This painting, oil on linen, shows a view from a canyon on the plains, looking south with Pike's Peak in the distance. It measures 20" x 12" and has a painted frame made of spruce and birch, which adds an additional 6" to each measurment.
