Painting - Large Mosaic Of Individual Wood Blocks

A series of individual cradled birch board blocks, painted individually and as a collective to form one image. Perfect for adding interest and complexity to a variety of large walls. The painted blocks can be uniformly spaced to fill a rectangular area, or more randomly spaced to fill odd sized walls, such as stair wells. Themes are nature based and may include trees, birds, bugs, fruit, or flowers of your choice.

Project timeline: approx. 5-7 weeks (1 week for delivery of required blocks, 1 week to prep blocks with gesso, 3-4 weeks to create paintings, 1-2 weeks to finalize image with client and then apply and cure finish coats). Weekly (and sometimes daily) images of progress to be emailed to client.

Each block is primed and hand painted with artisan quality acrylic paints and then coated with a gloss varnish for protection. Up to 50 blocks can be included, sized either 6x6 or 8x8 with either 1/2 inch depth or 1 1/2 depth. Blocks are made in Salem, OR. Sides can be left natural birch color, or painted with the color of your choice - with dark grey or bronze usually recommended.

Shipping is not included and will be quoted based on location using UPS.
