Painting: Man Of Sorrows

This was a project for a priest friend of mine who wanted a surrealist/cubist epitaphion for his office.

This was the result. It ended up with a nod to Dali, rather than Picasso, but I like the effect, and the use of color astonished even me. Obviously I had been remembering too many bright southwestern evening skies.

Dimensions: this is the biggest piece I ever did, 40"x32". It was very difficult to move. :-)
