Partner Boxes
Pictured above are two matching boxes I was commissioned to build for a client as partner boxes. The pair includes a large jewelry box for the woman and a valet and watch box for the man. Each box was constructed from the same set of boards to ensure consistency between the pieces and the design of each mirrors the other to create a true pair of boxes. Each features similar banding across the top and bottom, removable trays, and a solid Wenge top which was cut from the same board. These particular boxes were constructed of solid Lacewood & Wenge but partner boxes can be commissioned in any wood combination desired by a client.
The valet box features two levels of storage each of which is lined in a luxurious and durable felt lining. The top level houses two open faced removable sliding trays (approximately 3"W x 6"D x 1"D) perfect for the storage of rings, cufflinks and other small items. The second level is divided into six 3"x3" compartments for the storage of six watches. Six velvet watch pillows are also included with the box which provide a safe and attractive resting place for the watches.
The jewelry box was specifically developed for the storage of earrings, pins and other small items. Sleek and compact the box contains twenty-four small compartments and a removable tray perfect for the orderly storing prized possessions in an attractive and easily accessible fashion.
No stains or dyes were used in the making of this piece and all colors seen are the natural colors of the wood.
Each piece is signed and dated on the bottom.
