Patchwork Pressed Maple Leaf Vase And Baskets
The 'Autumn Leaf Patchwork' products are one of my favorite things to create! The colors of the leaves are so spectacular to work with and to place them on an object and watch the colors blend in such a way as tho' it were a quilt made by Mother Nature herself is so awesome.
Most folks think of autumn leaves as part of Fall decorations, Wreaths, Festivals or Thanksgiving Centerpieces but, leaves aren't just for fall anymore! After months of pressing and drying rich, vibrant colors of reds, gold, yellows, greens and orange leaves in the prime of their life, we then apply them to various objects using the special Adhesive we use on all our products and we call this 'The Autumn Leaf Patchwork' design. They are not decoupage, they are pressed and literally become part of the object itself. We then use a light stain to somewhat age the leaves then seal them with a urethane finish for protection.
It is such an elegant way to display autumn leaves in all their glory, you have to see them to believe it! We are displaying a few of the items we do in the autumn leaf technique and you may choose a vase, basket, cornucopia, table, headboard, etc. anything we would be willing to try if you have a need.
