This is a smaller EDC (Every Day Carry) knife I use personally. The blade is slightly tarnished from use and is on its way to getting the normal patina high carbon steel gets with use. The approx. 3" blade is 1/8" thick 1084 high carbon steel that has been oil quenched and tempered back to a high 50's rockwell hardness. Handle scales are homemade micarta from many layers of old cloth and resin accented with brass pins and a 1/4" brass lined lanyard hole. The sheath is very thick high quality leather left undyed and only colored with the various leather treatments for finishing. Makers mark is etched into the blade. The knife is intended as a working EDC/ hunting / camping style knife and was polished but not to a mirror finish. This knife and those I make in this style are supposed to get scuffed and marked up by use not just sit around and look pretty, though they do that as well. This is based off of a somewhat production blade pattern I use but could be easily personalized or customized with another handle material/ color or dyed sheath.
