Peruvian Walnut And Michigan Hard Rock Maple End Grain Cutting Board

These end grain bother block style cutting boards are made with 1.5 inch thick Peruvian Walnut and Michigan Hard Rock Maple to ensure years of use. The end grain style gives the knife edge a place to go so that it will not dull your knives as fast and also makes the wood last a great deal longer as you are not cutting across the grain. Each board is made from the same planks of wood to try and give a harmonious look and feel to the color and grain. They are sanded very smooth and then given a submersion coat of mineral oil that is non toxic and food safe. After this coat is allowed to roll off, it is rubbed out with a cotton rag and then a coat of hot bees wax / mineral oil mixture is buffed into the surface to leave a silky smooth feel. We always try to use one side for show and the other for the work.

These are available in standard sizes as follows:
12" X 12" X 1.5"
12" X 18" X 1.5"
18" X 24" X 1.5"

If you prefer a custom size then simply ask and we can make it for you.
