Phi Cabinet

This is a free standing cabinet inspired by ones made by James Krenov and his students over the years. My take is specifically a corner cabinet where drawers and doors are accessible on two sides. All the dimensions are multiples of "Phi," the "golden ratio." The ratio is a transcendental number, 1.618..., that arises rather magically from ratios of line segments, nested circles, squares, and triangles and the Fibonacci sequence, 1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34 etc. where each number is the addition of the previous two and the ratio of each pair is... 1.618. Woods are walnut, cherry, and figured, live edge, maple panels. The scroll work is a representation of blue-eyed grass. It measures 74"H, 20"W, 20"D.
