Nowadays, every serious photographer – whether hobbyist or professional – will probably have several DSLR cameras, twice as many lenses of varied sizes, and four times as many accessories. This cabinet was built for such a photographer.
It features three compartments:
- The top one is meant for the cameras and the lenses. Even though it has a drawer front, the compartment is accessible only by lifting the lid. This prevents any damage to the equipment should the drawer be opened or closed . In addition, this configuration provides extra storage space.
- The middle and bottom compartments are meant for the various accessories such as filters, flashes, carry bags, etc. They are fully functioning drawers attached to the cabinet with 100lb full extension slides.
The cabinet is made of Baltic birch plywood for the large panels and yellow birch hardwood for the trim. It has been sprayed with two coats of Light Yellow Maple aniline dye and finished with three coats of semi-gloss polyurethane with UV inhibitors.
