Planting Hope

Collaborative work with Cathie Hamiliton: Painter)
Medium: Winterstone Arcylic skins
Surface Protection: Arcylic
Size: 12 in (h) x 12 in (w) x 1.5 inches (d) Weight: 5 lbs

Influences: Both artists use images of trees in their individual work frequently, so this seemed to give them direction. The piece evolved elements of time, with the initial act of seed planting and the foreshadowed future in the area of the tree above the girl's arm and reveals hope for the future in its vast profusion of leaves.
