I have always had a fascination with the fantasy and lore behind dragons. I like the various styles that dragons have been represented in throughout the cultures of the world and I recently decided that I needed to start making these little guys!

This particular dragon is a bakery dragon! He adores cupcakes and sweets and will lovingly guard them. He is created out of Mint colored clay with an aluminum foil armature inside for strength and durability. He will also be more lightweight because of this armature. There are a series of spines that travel down his back that are made out of a chocolate colored clay and the spines on his head are made from mint, brown and tan. He even has some swirled spines!
The cupcakes have been secured in to the dragon with a small amount of liquid clay. The wings were attached with wire and the whole thing has been coated with glaze for a brilliant shine.

The whole sculpture has been blended together quite well so that the seams do not run the risk of splitting apart. This little dragon will be packaged carefully with cotton balls and bubble wrap and placed in a secure box. that will then be "floated" with newspaper and packing material in another box. This is all to ensure that he arrives to you safely and undamaged. He will be shipped PRIORITY MAIL FLAT RATE.

From the back of the sculpture to the front of the cupcake in the dragon's arms measures 9cm or about 3.5 inches.
From the tip of the tallest spine on his head to the base of the dragon measures 7 cm or about 2.75 inches.
From the tips of the wings to the base of the dragon measures 5 cm or about 2 inches.
Each cupcake is about 2 cm or 1 inch across.
