· Outside is glazed with a glossy black with a hint of surface luster.
· Inside is glazed in a rich earthy glossy green-tea color.
· Faint "2012 gem" inscription under the glaze underneath the foot.
· Approx. 3-1/4" tall, 3-1/2" diameter at rim. Capacity ~7/8 Cup.
Very lightweight, fine-walled, thrown on the potter's wheel. Made from a North Carolina white stoneware caly close to porcelain. Lead-free glazes mixed at my school, fired to around 2200° Fahrenheit for a vitreous watertight finish. Dishwasher, microwave, consumption safe. Please treat it carefully as you would fine china.
