Our Sunday School department at our church has certain Sundays each year that are designed for extra fun and excitement for the kids, but we adults get in on it when we can. This was "50's Sunday" and I had a little denim poodle skirt that I just could not bring myself to part with. Her favorite team is "Ole Miss" so I hand painted 'My Heart Belongs To Ole Miss" on the skirt and put an under slip with a red net ruffle on it. She had the cutest little white shirt with a red heart on it that matched perfectly.
As you can see, she was a little cutie and walked away with 1st place for the costume.
This makes a great costume for Halloween or anytime wear. With moms searching for "The Theme" for their child's next birthday party, a "50"s) party would be fun.
