This set of six colorful porcelain cups were made for saki, but they are just the right size for expresso, sherry, or what-have-you! They are about 4" tall by 2" wide. They are made by extruding porcelain clay, hand building the little feet, etc and then incising the pattern. Then they are layered with custom colored slips. When dry, the color is very carefully abraded to reveal the various layers within the incised pattern. The piece is then bisque fired, then covered in a crystal clear glaze and refired to 2243 degrees F. They can be made in many different color combinations. The cost if for a set of six.
