Pottery Communion Set In Plum Red And Cream
This communion set includes a pitcher (flagon), two cups (chalices) and two plates (patens). The pitcher is relatively small for ease of pouring and the cups are relatively wide at the top for serving communion by intinction.
This set was commissioned as a thank you gift for a pastor moving to a new call. It features bands of text from Romans 12, the recipient's favorite passage, in black, surrounded by a warm plum red glaze. The inside of each piece is glazed in a dark cream.
All of the pieces were thrown in my studio in Columbus, Ohio and are made of stoneware clay and a food safe glaze.
