Psychedelic Dragon
Psychedelic Dragon was the very first guitar I painted. I started with a cream colored Stratocaster that I had bought a year or two prior. I sanded the finish off by hand until it was down to the original wood body. It was exhausting and exhilarating. I had little plan for what I painted on the front, but I knew I wanted it bright, colorful and abstract. I put more time and planning into the back, as I designed the dragon and worked on it for hours until I felt it was right. I remember staying up very late during the hot summer to work on it. Once it was completely painted, I learned how to apply the top coat, sand and buff it until it was gleaming. It was this guitar that proved to me that creating these unique pieces of artwork is something I truly love doing.
