I built two of these, for a 85 year old lodge on Vancouver Island, BC. It's made of clear vertical grain douglas fir, curly maple and walnut pegs. The curly maple panels are shop-sawn veneer that has been slip-matched.

Joinery is all mortise and tenon, and the legs are assembled so that there is quartersawn face on all four sides.
