Queen Platform Bed Made From Reclaimed New Orleans Homes And Victorian Ceiling Tin

Made to order-This handmade queen platform bed is crafted solely from reclaimed antique wood that was once a part of homes destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. These homes were built in the late 1890s to early 1900s and the patina of the wood shows years of aging. In making this bed I wanted to preserve the history and beauty of these old pieces. On the side rails and posts, I've embraced the termite holes, accentuated the cracks, and preserved the beauty of the wood grain.

The headboard is made from an old door and has been inlaid with a decorative Victorian ceiling tins that were pressed in Laredo, Texas during the 1920s. The blue and silver tones pair with the light brown hues of the wood.

Each bed is custom made to order. I will work with you to determine the appropriate size, color, and pattern of each piece. I also carry a variety of different tin patterns. All beds require assembly and come with the hardware needed.
