Radiator Covers
Our focus on radiator covers began when we purchased our 85 year old home. Every radiator in every room of the house was exposed. When we moved in, our son was one and walking. We were nervous that he would burn himself or fall into the cast iron.
We started making these covers for our home and started selling via etsy and local facebook groups. We live in the north east so a vast majority of the homes in our area are old and have original heating.
We changed the style slightly per cover to match the decor in each room. Our home resembles a craftsman style so we gravitate towards the more classic style.
We tend to use poplar more often due to the durability. When painted, we prime and paint the entire surface to protect the wood. When stained, we cover with a few coats of Minwax's Helmsman Spar Urethane to protect further against the heat changes.
