Realistic Glass Rainier Cherry Sculpture, Life-Sized

Many cherries are shown in the picture so that you can seem them from all angles and to illustrate the color choices.
Your Rainier Cherry sculpture will be the size you would find in the grocery store - about 1 inch (25mm) in diameter.
Depending on the amount of sun they have received, ripe Rainier Cherries can range from entirely yellow, through shades of raspberry pink, to a dark reddish-pink in color. The lighter areas are where the cherry has been shaded by the leaves. You will be able to choose the color of your cherry sculpture when you make your purchase. Each individual cherry is priced at $50.00.
Each of these solid glass cherry sculptures is made one at a time by melting a rod of yellow Italian glass onto a loop of 16-gauge copper wire. Because the loop is embedded in the glass, the wire can never be pulled free from the glass.
Your glass Rainier Cherry will have a translucent quality just like real Rainier and Queen Anne cherries do. The surface blush of pink to darker red is created by applying from one to twenty coats of powdered red transparent glass. During this time-consuming process each coat must be melted in smoothly before applying the next. Since no paint is used on the glass cherries, the color will not rub, flake or chip off. No two glass cherries are ever exactly alike.
