The home pictured was made entirely from antique Western Red Cedar, Chestnut and Douglas Fir salvaged from old New England mill buildings. Our doors and windows were fumed and oiled to bring out the warm character of the 150 + year old lumber. Hand forged iron hardware operate the modern stainless steel multi-point hardware hidden in the door's edge.
We also have used beechwood from dismantled tobacco barns from the Connecticut River Valley. The aromatic oils from the curing tobacco impart a rich sepia patina. Old growth Redwood from the staves of Manhattan roof-top water cisterns is reborn as door stiles and rails of incredible beauty and durability.
We also offer flooring, mill-work, furniture and counter tops from reclaimed timbers to complement our doors and windows.
