After almost 20 years of our 2 sons playing hockey (skating lessons, driving to and from practices, enjoying and sometimes enduring freezing cold, competitive games, managing countless teams, President of the my son’s HS Hockey Club, penalty box door man, clock manager and statistician, social coordinator for after game noshes, parent enthusiast and one year of being “snack mom”) my husband can now put his feet up and just relax! Our hockey chair came out better than I had envisioned! (A foot rest was also included which I wasn’t expecting!) Karl from KMR Works was terrific. He was thorough and professional in his communication with me, his craftsmanship is exceptional and he even made arrangements to meet me with my project to avoid the pricey shipping costs. The chair is also custom made to include our last name and son’s hockey numbers. A nice touch personal touch. Truly a 5 star experience all around! I wish I could give him 5+ in all of the categories. My husband loves it and each time we take a seat in it, we will reflect on the many happy years of memories at the rink! Thank you Karl!
This coffee table was created by reclaiming an old beam that had probably already been reclaimed one time before. I got the beam from a 100 year old barn that had housed an old furniture factory, but the beam has hand cut mortise and tenons that where used at another location prior to ours position in this barn for the past hundred years. The 304 stainless steel legs are welded and the welds have been ground smooth. The metal has a mill finish.
