I’ve done a few different floating shelves with Ron and they come out great everytime!
This was the first project that started me on the reclaimed lumber furniture-building path. We obtained several pieces of aged quarter sawn oak from my wife's family farm. It was hard as concrete and difficult to work with but had gorgeous grain and texture. 20 years old and as sturdy as the day it was built.
