The Reclaimed Wood and Blackened Steel Dining Table consists of a reclaimed wood top captured by an angle steel frame. The legs welded and ground flush at each corner for a seamless flow from table top to floor.
The design gives a very strong and impregnable aesthetic, secured in steel and with each corner grounded by 2.5" square legs. The middle of the table top is divided by a 1.5" steal strip which blends into the 1.5" angle steel frame. Each side contains a local reclaimed Cedar top, sanded to give a smooth to the touch surface, while preserving the unique character of the lumber. (Various sanding options available). The wood top is finished with a water based poly. (Also available in poly urethane, or hard wax oil finish).
The grind marks are hit with a blackening solution to help blend with the natural steel color. The steel frame is finished with a poly spray to seal and protect from moisture. (Also available in various powder coat colors).
