This project was to build a desk and shelves for a small bedroom nook using reclaimed lumber. They both needed to be floating without any visible supports.

Both the desk and the shelves were constructed and finished before installation. Once the support pieces were installed, the shelves were slid in place over them.
The shelves and desk front were stained dark to match other wood throughout the room. The desktop was left natural to show off the grain and to provide a contrast of old and new.
