Reclaimed Wood Office Desk, Barnwood Computer Desk, Corner Desk With Mesh Panel
The "Sarah" Barnwood corner desk is handmade with reclaimed barnwood with two large steel mesh privacy panels. Main section measures 72″W x 30″D and return section is 48″W x 30″D, giving it an overall dimension of 78″ x 72″. The 1-1/2″ top sits on steel legs and an industrial welded framework. There is a bank of three frameless drawer boxes, all are dovetailed solid wood and feature soft-close Blum undermount slides for the smoothest action. The legs are 3″ x 3″ welded steel with an antique blackened finish. Adjustable leg levelers included.
The wood for the desktops was salvaged from 2×6 wall studs and rafters removed from a barn near Memphis, TN. Much care was taken to preserve the aged characteristic of the material; it's filled with many saw marks from the early American sawmills, and also loaded with nail holes, splits, and other unique beauty marks. The most severe holes or indentations were filled to preserve the wood's history. The desktop then received three coats of a commercial-grade finish. All metal components have been powder coated black for long-term durability. The final product turned out amazing.
