Recycled Gold Nugget Necklace With Conflict Free Diamond

This necklace was made by melting down scraps of 14k gold and then forming them into a nugget. The 2mm conflict-free white diamond is flush set into the nugget. It is strung on a 14k gold cable chain. The nugget is about 1/4" in diameter and about 1/8" thick.

This would be an excellent project if you have inherited or unwanted jewelry in gold that you would want to use for the pendant. It could be cleaned and melted down to form your own memento.

The price of the necklace is primarily determined by how large you want the nugget to be and the size of the diamond you would like.
