This darling little oval pendant was formed using PMC. It displays the impression of a plant that appears to be a tree whose branches are swaying in the wind. Its rustic texture and patina are the perfect canvas on which to display the brilliant grassy green chrome diopside briolette that mingles playfully with it. It is wrapped in sterling silver wire and the pair dangles from a sterling silver cable chain. The chain closes with a hand forged clasp adorned by the lighter green of two faceted peridot rondelles. All silver has been oxidized and hand buffed to a soft dark gray finish. A great gift to the gal who likes to be outdoors!
The chain measures 18 inches in length and the pendant hangs 3/4 inch below the chain. The gemstone, together with its wrapped loop measure a petite 3/8 inch. It is modeled on a mannequin for visual size reference. It will be packaged safely in a kraft style gift box tied up with a beautiful ribbon.
PMC – Precious Metal Clay – is a clay comprised of tiny particles of reclaimed silver and an organic binder. I design and form each piece and then kiln fire it, where the binder burns away leaving behind the particles to cling together as fine silver (.999). After firing, each piece is hand buffed, sometimes oxidized and then made into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
