A feminine lavender briolette of faceted ametrine shows off its sparkle by pairing with a fine silver pendant. The floral circle was created using PMC. It has been oxidized and then hand buffed to a high shine in a soft gray patina. The duo live on an oxidized sterling silver flat cable chain, which closes with one of my hand forged clasps and two tiny champagne sapphire rondelles. This would be a lovely gift for a February baby (ametrine is amethyst and citrine together) or that girly girl who loves flower gardens.
The chain measures 18 inches and the pendant and gemstone hang just 3/4 inch below. It is 5/8 inch wide. It is displayed on a mannequin for an idea of the size. It will be packed with care in a kraft style gift box and tied up with a colorful ribbon.
PMC – Precious Metal Clay – is a clay comprised of tiny particles of reclaimed silver and an organic binder. I design and form each piece and then kiln fire it, where the binder burns away leaving behind the particles to cling together as fine silver (.999). After firing, each piece is hand buffed, sometimes oxidized and then made into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
