Red Geode Sculpture
A red, blue, purple "geode" that was made as an experiment to determine the amount of aircraft foam that could be formed in a single application. The results are better than I thought they would be. This piece is in my private collection and are used as bookends.
The base measures 12" X 12" X 2.5" high. The geode measures approx. 10" in diameter with cavities approx. 5" deep in places.
Made from aircraft foam, liquid vinyl, a wood base and automotive paint with a 98% UV protective clear coat.
This piece will not be duplicated due to the excessive amount of foam and extremely long curing time involved.
