Red Wine Inspired Asian Style Dining Table

A red wine inspired asian style dining table, absolutely one of a kind and original.
Tabletop composed entirely of french oak, reclaimed from retired red wine barrels.
No color coats nor dyes/stains were used, simply red wine imparting its distinct and unique color to the wood over years of aging.
Table legs are staves from a wine barrel to highlight the difference between rich purples and reds on the inside and a rustic, hard lived exterior.
Many wine barrels were disassembled, picked over for in tact and especially vibrant pieces, painstakingly milled and worked into the geometric tiles that compose the honeycomb lattice.
Honeycomb intarsia is protected and brought to a uniform level under a bartop epoxy resin
Every inch of the table is finished in an ultra-durable catalyzed varnish.
Each 'cell' of the honeycomb is backfilled with epoxy resin blackened with graphite, a form of carbon that shares that very same hexagonal honeycomb within its molecular structure
A symbol of the natural, the sceintific, that which is timeless, stable, balanced, indivisible and infinite
Every aspect of concept, design, woodworking, and final finishing was executed by Andrew Lesuer of Golden CO
