We are delighted with how the tables look in our round living room. The workmanship is excellent. The glass tops lay perfectly flat across all the wood branches which is remarkable given the number of touch points on the driftwood bases. As to the aesthetics, we wanted something special to match our location on the beach. These driftwood tables are absolutely beautiful and really hit the beach theme on the mark. Don has been delightful to work with. He responds quickly to questions and does a great job posting photos and notes as the project progresses. Great experience!
The table top is created from a slab of 2nd growth redwood burl. As opposed to to old growth redwood, 2nd growth is lighter in color & weight and has a varying amount of blond sap wood remaining.
The base is red cedar driftwood which is a perfect compliment to redwood and makes a more interesting and less heavier base a than redwood stump.
The bottom is resin sealed to protect the floor.
