These were some very old doors located in an old condo in downtown Seattle. They were covered in several coats of paint and needed to be stripped and refinished. Our client liked the distressed look so some of the original holes from the door knobs was kinda cool to him so we kept the look. I made some custom scraper tools to clean the paint from the moldings. Then then doors were masked off for black stain on the trim and then masked off for the body color stain. each door was shot with three coats of stain and six coats of lacquer and hand rubbed with 220 thru 600 grit paper for superior finish.
