18x24". from my "paint another humanity series," showing the complex display and restraint of emotion through life-size portraits of women. all acrylic on canvas with finished edges, so they can be displayed unframed.
this was the hardest thing i've ever painted, and the piece i'm most proud of. hence the price. getting the lighting and features even over two skin-tones was a massive challenge. but i think it's my best work. and it makes me wonder if i'm the first person to ever paint someone with this skin condition. finding reference photos was hard enough.
i don't do commissioned portraits of people because i don't see right: the people i paint don't look like the people i'm painting. all my people are fake.
