Retirement Shadow Box
This shadow box was made custom to fit the retiring Assistant Chief's first fire ax and a special spot for the badge he wore and was allowed to keep. The box was made so the ax would not fall out but could be retrieved easily for home defense (I guess you gotta know this guy, lol) This box was made from two types of wood to give it dimension The reddish stripped wood is sugar pine and the lighter frame was Juniper. Being a Volunteer fire fighter this project took a special place in my heart and can't wait to make one for myself. (but I'm not retiring anytime soon)
Of course your shadow box can be custom made to fit whatever keep sake or memory you want to preserve and show off.
