Retro Bathroom

While my work is now wood working (furniture making and furniture restoring) as well as antique restorations, I have many skills and put them to use with this complete home renovation while I operated a General Contracting business.

This old farm house did not have a bathroom on the 2nd floor, so I had the framers Wall up a hallway from the largest bedroom that connected to a large closet. I used the space in this old closet to make a full bathroom.

Due to the age of the home and style, I went with a complete retro 1920's bathroom. Using the vintage looking white and black octagon floor tile, I designed this room using a claw foot tub as well as a marble top vanity, a custom retro looking toilet and chrome retro light fixtures. I completed this room using a robins egg blue on the walls above the white wainscoting.

Not pictured is a 1920's small kitchen cabinet with glass doors on the top that I refinished for this bathroom to add a touch of old as well as creating space for toiletries and towels.
