Ridding The Wind

My intention is for this piece to give patients in the hospital a little respite, or place to rest their gaze.

This piece consists of two panes of glass. The front pane is clear, with the tree and butterflies sandblasted into the back. Then we painted into the sandblasted grooves. Finally, we selected the perfect piece of stained glass and mounted the two pieces together, separated by a lexan washer.

It is intended to have light on it (the back piece is fairly opaque), no lightt passing through it.
