Rolling Island With Reclaimed Oak Counter Top
Created for a Cafe owner who needed more counter space and storage. I created a rolling island with a folding counter extension and shelves in the base and on the counter. The counter tops were crafted from oak pallets used to hold slate shingles. The boards are 1" thick and provide a solid counter top surface that will be durable and provide the piece with some character. Plywood was used to make the base cabinet, painted black to bring attention to the counters and upper shelf. 3" casters were used to make the island mobile.
