This live edge coffee table is made from a tree slice of Maple. The circular live edge slab has one noticeable drying check. The wood is stabilized, has been kiln dried and 2 graduated walnut inlays were placed at stopping point of drying check to inhibit further checking (cracking). It's a beautiful slab of wood with a plethora of tans, golds, beige and even black line spalting. The top has been planed flat, sanded smooth and finished in a proprietary oil-based satin polyurethane finish. This finish is durable and embraces the natural wood look. The top rests on dual 2" x 2" industrial style steel u-shape bases. The bases have been clear coated for protection. All in all, this is a hip round table that can be used as a coffee table or side table/ end table. It's stout, elegant, modern, industrial, organic and handmade in my humble Kentucky workshop. This piece measures around 33" x 30" x 18 7/8" H and the table top is a husky 2 5/8" thick. This piece is ready to ship!
